Dimitri Studio (Dimitri Ilkov Photography)
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This Service Agreement (“Agreement”) constitutes a public offer. By booking a session, paying a deposit, or otherwise engaging Dimitri Studio (“we”, “us”, “Photographer”) for photography services, the client (“you”, “Client”) agrees to be bound by the terms below.
1. Scope of Services
We provide professional photography services including but not limited to family portraits, individual portraits, boudoir sessions, business headshots, and wedding photography, as described on dimitristudio.com.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
Submitting a booking request, paying a deposit, or attending a scheduled session constitutes acceptance of this Agreement in full.
3. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to any client, at our sole discretion, including but not limited to situations where:
- The client engages in abusive, threatening, or disrespectful behaviour toward the Photographer or any assistant
- The client requests content that is illegal, unsafe, or conflicts with our professional and ethical standards
- The client fails to comply with session guidelines communicated prior to or during the session
- Payment has not been received as required under this Agreement
- The client has previously violated the terms of this Agreement
If we refuse or discontinue service under this section after a session has already taken place, no refund of amounts already paid is owed. If service is refused prior to the session, the deposit is forfeited in accordance with Section 5.
4. Client Conduct
Clients are expected to arrive on time, follow reasonable direction during the session, and treat the Photographer and any staff or assistants with respect. The Photographer may end a session early, with no refund owed, if this expectation is not met.
5. Deposit and Payment
A 50% deposit is required to confirm any booking. The remainder is due before the session. Deposits are non-refundable except as described in our Terms of Service regarding rescheduling due to emergency, severe weather, or unsafe conditions.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid by the client for the session in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
In the rare event that session files are lost, corrupted, or otherwise unrecoverable due to equipment failure, our sole obligation is to offer a complimentary reshoot where reasonably possible, or a refund of fees paid for that session.
7. Intellectual Property
All images remain the copyright of Dimitri Studio. Clients receive a licence to use delivered images for personal purposes (or commercial purposes where a commercial licence has been agreed in writing, as applies to business and corporate sessions). We retain the right to use session images for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to the session.
8. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Agreement at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing Law and Disputes
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts of Alberta.
